Event promotion requires careful attention to target demographics and brand identity, perhaps even more so than other means of advertising. King Kong Sushi in partnership with Might as Well Productions, was looking to actively promote their after hours bar/lounge party in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Boasting a lively atmosphere, Might as Well Production’s “Gorilla Kiss Party” required an aggressive design approach while also appealing to the female demographic in particular.
The design concept relied heavily on a abstracted and graphical style which emphasized the King Kong Sushi brand within the context of a club-based advertisement. Simplified silhouettes of dancing women dominate the foreground while the copy stands out in complement to the abstracted background.
